Statuses

Statuses are used to classify customers and automatically correspond with your customers at certain points during their workflow.

Statuses also allow users to track a customer throughout the estimate and repair process.

The photo below is what statuses look like.  In list view, they can be found on the right-hand side of the dashboard screen under the drop-down title STATUS.  In the Kanban View, Statuses are found along the top and can be rearranged by a HQ user.

There are two ways to change a customer's status.

1. Manually--In List view, by clicking on the status of a customer's profile and choosing the desired status from a drop-down list; in Kanban view, by selecting a customer's tile and dragging to the desired status.

2. Automatically as some statuses will change when certain actions have taken place by the customer.  For example: Sending out the Photo Estimate Tool to a new customer will immediately put that customer profile into a "Pending Photos" status.  Once the customer sends in the photos to BodyShop Booster, a status change occurs resulting in the status changing again from "Pending Photos" to Photos Received."

As the status changes, so do the lightning bolt actions assigned to that particular status.

Lightning Bolt Actions are the different types of communications linked to specific statuses.  Correspondence can be sent internally to users of BodyShop Booster (reminder to reach out to a customer) or externally to a customer (thanking them, reminding them to complete an action or offering them a deal at a later date).

To create a NEW STATUS.

From the main menu, click on the Settings tab on the left-hand side of the screen. See the gear icon below.

Clicking this icon is going to bring you automatically to the status tab.  In this tab, you will be able to create new statuses or make changes to existing ones.

(STATUS PAGE BELOW)

1. The plus icon allows the users to create their own statuses.  Creating your own status is beneficial when customizing your BodyShop Booster for your own business needs.

2. The pencil icon allows you to edit an existing status.  You can change the color of the status, the name, whether it is active or not, how it tracks, who it applies to, the location to which it applies, and even delete the status (not every icon can be deleted).  You can also add Lightning Bolt Actions (LBAs) by clicking the pencil icon.  Please note certain pre-made icons cannot be changed other than LBAs for that specific icon.

3) The title of the status.  This is the name that will show up on the dashboard under status.  (Not every status name can be changed)

Here is a quick flowchart of how statuses are assigned based on how the client is entered into the dashboard.  Flowchart.pdf
