Dealer Tool
The Dealer app is used when Dealerships want to be able to send clients to your body shop. This can be done easily from their phone by downloading your unique Dealership Tool. This can also be used for your Service Advisors the same way.
Once the Dealership/Advisors add the App to their phone (by either sending themselves the link & saving it to their phone, or scanning the QR code) they can then upload client details/pictures on behalf of the client and send this along to your Bodyshop for an estimate.
NOTE: The first time the Dealer App is opened it will ask for the Dealer information or you can simply add the Service Drive information. This will allow the Bodyshop to identify where the client is being sent from (which dealer or Service Drive Advisor) and this information will be stored for future use. This will also show up on the client profile.
When a vehicle arrives with damage, Advisors can use their Phone or Tablet (with the saved app) and follow along with the tool to take pictures and upload any pertinent information. The pictures needed will be the VIN, the damage, and the customer’s name and contact information. Because you are uploading on behalf of the client you will need to take a picture of the client's information (or include it in the notes at the end of the tool requests) in order for the BodyShop Admin user to update the client profile once it is uploaded. The client will come into the back office as "Name Available" and once it is submitted the admin will need to backfill this information from the photo that was taken (RO).

How to Set Up the BodyShop Booster Service Advisor App:
Send the dealer version of the estimate tool to the service advisor’s device. This can be done in a couple of different ways:
1. Scan your QR code or print a copy of it and post it in your Service Advisor area for easy access. You can find your QR code under Settings and the SHARING LINKS tab. Find the Dealer Photo App and click on QR code.
An example of a printed version that could be put in the service drive would be:
2. Click on the camera icon on your BodyShop Booster dashboard to open up the “Share Estimate” screen. Select “Dealer” under “Select App Version” and text or email the tool to your advisor. No contact info is needed - leave this blank other than the phone number or email.
Have the service advisor add the app icon to their device’s home screen for quick access:
- From the estimate tool screen, click the menu button on the device.
- Tap “Add to the home screen.”
- Tap “ADD” to confirm.
Pro Tip: We recommend adding the app to your own home screen so that you can walk the service advisor through the setup process using your device as an example.
How to Use BodyShop Booster Service Advisor App:
- App is installed on the service writer’s tablet or phone.
- When a customer comes through the service lane with damage, the service writer clicks the app on their phone that can be branded to the dealership. Once opened, the app home screen can also be labeled to their brand and needs.
- Service Writer clicks “Start an Estimate.”
- App automatically tracks the Service Writer in the background, so the body shop is notified which dealership and which Service Writer is sending you the work for tracking and spiffing as necessary.
- Service Writer takes a photo of the VIN number (on a tablet, windshield, door, etc.).
- Service Writer takes a photo of the customer information (on the Repair Order screen or jacket).
- Service Writer takes photos and video of the vehicle damage.
- Service Writer reviews damage and presses “Submit”.
- For multiple vehicles, Service Writer clicks “Add Another Vehicle” and repeats the process. The whole process takes 60-75 secs/ per vehicle and requires no keyed-in input.
